Property in Monchique – Untouched by Tourism

Monchique is a quiet and relaxed market town set in the hills of the Serra de Monchique and is with few exceptions untouched by tourism. It lies between two hills, Foia and Picota, the former being the highest point in the Algarve. The town has retained its old world charm with steep cobbled streets, handicraft shops, cafés, restaurants and small intimate restaurants. Consequently older Monchique properties are becoming popular for modernization due to its beautiful quiet location.

Monchique properties are also becoming popular around the beautiful village of Caldas de Monchique which is a few minutes drive from the town. This village is famous due to its Health Spa dating back to the Roman times with its natural spring waters.
