Western Algarve Property Market Overview

Western Algarve property buyers have always been drawn by this region, and it has always been a particular favourite in Portugal.

Lagos and Portimao are the two main cities and offer a wealth of activities and property projects around the newly built Formula One and karting racing tracks. Their modern and fully equiped marinas host many water sports facilities and property projects.

The Western Algarve offers a mix of modern and traditional life style and is still home to many Portuguese families. The A2 motorway now runs well beyond Lagos and eases the reach of Praia da Luz, Burgau, and Salema. North of Sagres the winds are fresher and the wide Atlantic beaches to Aljezur are unspoilt and a paradise for surfers. The northern part of Western Algarve that ranges of Espinhaco de Cao, Monchique and Caldeirao shelter the coast from the winds.
